When you are happy with it, copy the edit as HTML to paste into your page's head, or copy the title and description as plain text for the SEO fields in WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and similar.
Frequently asked questions
- How long should a title tag and meta description be?
Aim for up to 60 characters for the title and 155 for the description. Google cuts by pixel width rather than character count, so treat these as a guide.
- Why does Google show a different title or description from mine?
Google sometimes rewrites them when it thinks other text on the page answers the search better. A clear, accurate title and description make that less likely.
- Why is the description box empty?
The page has no meta description, or it is added by JavaScript, which this tool does not run. Write one here and add it to the page.
- Is it free, and do you store anything?
Yes it's free. We do not save the page or the result. We fetch the address you give, check it, and show you what we found. We keep a record that the tool ran (when, and your IP address to prevent abuse).
