Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sync Inc Ltd, the UK company that operates Geograph. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding Geograph, and supersede any prior discussions or agreements on the subject.

If you do not agree with them, please do not use Geograph.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use Geograph. By using Geograph, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to accept these terms, either for yourself or on behalf of a business you're authorised to bind.

Geograph monitors public Reddit activity in the communities you choose, drafts replies and articles for you, and audits your website for AI and search visibility.

Geograph never posts anything on your behalf. Every reply and every article is a draft that you review and publish yourself.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately, using our contact form, if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

We're not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account where that use resulted from you failing to keep your credentials secure.

You are responsible for everything you publish, including drafts that originated in Geograph. Review each one before it goes anywhere.

You must follow the rules of any third-party platform you post to, including each subreddit's own rules. Geograph surfaces those rules to help, but the final judgement and the account are yours.

You agree to provide accurate information about your product, and not to use Geograph for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.

Replies, articles, and audit suggestions are generated using AI and may contain factual errors, outdated information, or inaccuracies about your own product. You're responsible for checking that anything you publish is accurate before it goes anywhere, this is separate from, and in addition to, your general responsibility for what you publish above.

Reddit, search engines, and AI providers are independent of us and set their own rules, which can change without notice.

We are not responsible for action taken against your accounts by those platforms, including removal of content or suspension.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and begin with a 7-day free trial that requires a card.

Each customer is entitled to one free trial. We may decline to offer a further trial to anyone who has previously held an account with us.

Founding member rates are locked for the lifetime of a continuous subscription at the tier you joined. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the rate available at that time applies.

We reserve the right to change our prices for any plan, including founding member plans, with reasonable notice. A price change never applies retroactively to a billing period you have already paid for.

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. Except where the law gives you a right to a refund (see "Your right to cancel" below), payments already made are non-refundable.

If you are a consumer based in the UK or EU, you ordinarily have a legal right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. By starting your free trial, you ask us to begin providing the service immediately and acknowledge that once the trial ends and paid access begins, you may lose this cancellation right to the extent you've already used the service. This doesn't affect your right to cancel your ongoing subscription at any time as described above, it only affects your right to a refund for the initial 14-day period.

If someone signs up using your referral link and makes their first payment after their trial, we apply a 50% discount to your next 3 months. Referrals stack - each one extends the discounted period.

The discount is withdrawn as soon as the person you referred cancels, including while they still have paid access remaining. Any invoice of yours issued after that point is charged at the full rate. Invoices already issued are not changed.

We do not reinstate a withdrawn discount if the person you referred later restarts their subscription.

Referring yourself, or an account you control, does not earn a reward.

Each plan includes 15 article credits per month, plus daily limits on reply drafts and audit re-runs. These limits protect the service and are set out in the product.

Failed or errored generations never consume a credit.

Articles may include contextual links to other members' sites, and their articles may link to yours. Placement depends on genuine topical relevance.

We do not guarantee any particular number of links, any particular linking site, or that a link will remain in place. If you cancel your subscription, links already placed on other members' sites are not automatically removed, and links to your site from articles you published remain live unless you remove them yourself.

Search rankings, AI citations, domain authority, and traffic depend on factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, timeline, or ranking.

Anything we say about typical timeframes is an estimate, not a promise.

We use the information in your account, your website content, and your product details, to generate replies, articles, and audits for you. We do not use your specific content or account data to train AI models or to improve Geograph for other members. Aggregated, anonymised usage patterns (for example, which features are used most) may be used to improve the product. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

You keep ownership of the information you provide and of the drafts Geograph produces for you. You are free to publish, edit, or discard them.

We keep ownership of the Geograph platform itself, including its software, prompts, and branding.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs, damages, and legal fees if a third party makes a claim against us arising from content you published, whether or not it originated as a Geograph draft, or from your breach of these terms. This does not apply where the claim arises from our own negligence or breach of these terms.

We work to keep Geograph available and reliable, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level at this stage of the product.

We may change or discontinue features. If we make a material change that affects you, we will tell you.

We're not liable for any failure to perform our obligations where that failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages or changes at Reddit, search engines, or AI providers we depend on.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or indirect losses.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that puts the service or other members at risk.

If we close your account without cause, we will refund any period you have paid for and not used.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

You may not transfer your agreement with us to anyone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms, for example if the business is sold or restructured, and we'll tell you if that happens.

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and tell you by email if the change materially affects you.
