Keyword Density Analyzer

See which words and phrases your site or article uses, and spot keywords you've overused or missed.

Paste some text and the most-used words appear here.

What this tool does

Shows which words and phrases your text leans on most, and checks the keywords you are targeting: how often each is used, whether it appears in the first 100 words, and whether that is missing, light, fine or overused.

Paste an article, page or draft, add up to 10 target keywords, and switch between single words and two- or three-word phrases. Common words like "the" and "and" are left out so the list shows what your text is actually about.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good keyword density?

There is no magic number. Roughly one use per 100 words reads naturally. The tool flags under 0.5% as light and over 3% as overused, because the real problems are a keyword you never use and one repeated so often it reads badly.

Does keyword density affect rankings?

Not directly. Search engines and AI tools read for meaning, not counts. What matters is that the topic is clearly covered, the keyword appears early, and the text does not read as stuffed.

Do plurals count?

Yes. Simple plurals count together, so "geo tool" and "geo tools" are one keyword. A keyword is never matched inside a longer word.

Is it free?

Yes it's free. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to us.
